Internet Platform - Ruby on Rails Upgrade

We performed a major upgrade of Ruby on Rails for the online platform, while making sure that there were no changes to existing functionality.

Objectives

We updated the large codebase for the online platform to use a newer version of Ruby on Rails. This was a major version upgrade which required us to upgrade other Ruby libraries being used and to make a lot of code changes for the application itself.

We made all of these changes while making sure that existing website functionality remained unchanged.
